Tasmanian Borders Update
Winter on King Island has been picture perfect with beautiful, crisp sunny days bookended between glorious sunrises and sunsets. The shame is that we haven’t been able to share such beauty and tranquility with visitors to our island.
Recent announcements from the Tasmanian Premier suggest this is soon to change. The borders between Tasmania and Western Australia, South Australian and the Northern Territory will open on 7th August creating ‘safe travel bubbles’. All arrivals will need to complete the G2G PASS system but only those displaying Covid like symptoms will need to quarantine.
In more good news, an update on the borders with Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT is expected on 7th August. The situation with Victoria will be monitored on a weekly and monthly basis.
This all means visitors can start to think about when they would like to head over to enjoy the beautiful weather, the warm welcomes and maybe a game of golf or a walk on a multitude of stunning beaches.
