Recent visitors to King Island could be forgiven for thinking this summer couldn’t get any better after the amazing Australia Day celebrations and a full weekend of the Festival of King Island all played out on a backdrop of glorious sunshine.

However, things most definitely have improved with King Island Dairy adding another feather to their cap with the introduction of a Cheese Platter of the Day featuring a hand-picked selection of three ripe cheeses with accompaniments for just $18.00. Each platter serves two people and can be complemented by a selection of Tasmanian wine or craft beer from the White Rabbit Brewery. Cold non-alcoholic drinks are also available with tea and coffee selections coming soon.

The platters are served in the beautifully renovated cheese shop which sits adjacent to the award-winning and internationally celebrated King Island Dairy only a few minutes drive from the main township of Currie ay 896 North Road, Loorana. The shop is open seven days a week between 10.00 AM and 5.00 PM and also offers a full range of cheese available to sample and to purchase.
