Overview

Starting from the Seal Rocks car park, the Copperhead Walk is a scenic coastal trail showcasing King Island’s rugged west coast. Expect towering cliffs, dramatic rock formations and uninterrupted views across the Southern Ocean.

This track captures the island at its rawest – windswept, exposed and constantly shaped by the elements. Along the way, keep an eye out for seabirds and native wildlife, with plenty of spots to pause and take it all in.

Ideal for walkers and nature lovers, the Copperhead Walk offers a true sense of scale and isolation, with big views and fresh ocean air from start to finish.

Be prepared for changing conditions. King Island’s weather can shift quickly, so pack for wind, rain and sun.
